The Alvina Gala
Alvina Gala is a Gala sport that was discovered on the orchard in 2000. In 2002 the variety was registered and was also the year Glynns mother passed away, Alvina Gala was named in her memory.
This Gala strain is a whole tree mutation that has proven itself stable over many years. It is distinguished by other gala varieties, very fine stripes, and high level of colour leading to a solid flush. It consistently produces high quality apples with
a very high percentage of color deep within the tree.
Alvina Gala shows full red color in all growing districts throughout Australia. A major advantage of Alvina Gala is the ability to develop color well before maturity.
